IKEA Cart Hack: Sony PS5 Gaming Station! (List Included)

My husband has been wanting to buy a PS5 for a long time. After doing our research online, we decided a mobile gaming station would be the most convenient option, so we grabbed all the accessories during the shopping festival.

1. PS5 Slim Disc Edition: $640

2. Kingston NV3 1TB M.2 2280 NVMe SSD | PCIe 4.0 Gen 4x4: $162 (The PS5's built-in storage isn't quite enough if you accumulate a lot of games — optional depending on your needs)

3. Dell 27 Monitor S2725QS, 4K UHD IPS, 120Hz, 5ms, FreeSync Premium: $279 (Great picture quality and handles big games easily. I imagined 27 inches would be tiny since our TV at home is 75 inches, but when it arrived it fit perfectly on the IKEA cart. The base is very stable — with a ring of zip ties, you can push it around without worry. Plus, sitting closer means your eyes can keep up with the game without getting tired. Highly recommend!)

4. IKEA RÅSKOG Cart: $39.99 (sometimes on sale)

5. Sony PS5 DualSense Charging Station: $39 (essential)

6. 500 zip ties from nlzd flagship store: $9

7. Monzlteck PS5 under-desk mount: $26.99 (essential — if the PS5 sits directly in the cart, cooling is poor and the buttons are hard to reach)

8. Second controller, about $77 (only one comes in the box)

9. Game point cards — bought at a discount.

Total spent: $1,270. For me, this setup is honestly great for gaming at home, and it's especially suited for cat-owning households — when not in use, just wheel it into the room so the cats can't scratch it.

There might be better setups out there, but I'm a bit clumsy, and this one was easy to assemble myself and works well.
